Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-11

These Terms govern your use of Veolang, a Chrome extension that auto-translates YouTube subtitles. By installing or using the extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

1. Service description

Veolang translates subtitles already served by YouTube into a target language you choose. The extension runs in your browser; we do not operate our own translation server. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

2. Free plan and usage limits

The Free plan includes:

After the 7-day Lite trial ends, your account automatically downgrades to Free with the 10 videos/day limit. You may upgrade to Lite at any time to keep unlimited usage. The extension itself remains installed; only the daily usage limit applies on Free.

3. Lite subscription, pricing, and billing

4. Refunds and cancellation

5. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Veolang for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not:

6. Third-party services

Veolang relies on YouTube and on translation infrastructure provided by YouTube. Your use of YouTube is governed by YouTube's own Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy, which we do not control. Service availability depends on these third-party APIs continuing to function as currently provided; rate limits or other changes by YouTube may temporarily affect translation.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, translation accuracy, or compatibility with future YouTube changes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, if you violate these Terms or if continued operation becomes commercially impractical (for example, due to changes outside our control). Upon termination, your license to use the extension ends and you must uninstall it. Sections 5, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes shall be brought in the competent courts of Seoul, Korea, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to proceed in your local courts.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing and reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Contact

For questions about these Terms, refund requests, or any other inquiries: support@veolang.com.
